Earlier this month JCRA Board member Brian Mounce met with Oakville’s MPP Stephen Crawford to present the air quality concerns of residents living within the Clarkson Airshed, a geographic area encompassing parts of East Oakville and West Mississauga.
This area has been historically overtaxed with emissions and toxins that are harmful to humans when they exceed provinically designated acceptable levels.
Summarizing air quality concerns resulting from the aggregate emissions of approved warehouses is critical to ensuring the province, Town and Halton Region mandate appropriate mitigations on the warehouse sites conditionally approved at 560 and 750 Winston Churchill Blvd.
