JCRA will be set up behind Maple Grove arena on Saturday, April 23, 9 – 11 am, to coordinate volunteers along the creek from the arena south to Lake Ontario. We will also clean the park area around the arena.
- Everyone is welcome for any amount of time you can give.
- Coffe will be available.
- Gloves and garbage bags will be provided for all volunteers.
- High school students will receive volunteer hours for their time.
The Joshua Creek clean-up is part of a town wide initiative during Earth Week organized by the Oakville Community Centre for Peace, Ecology and Human Rights and sponsored by the Town of Oakville’s Parks and Open Space Department, Halton Region Waste Management, local businesses, and community organizations; the organizing group for Oakville’s Earth Week Clean Up. Please join us on April 23rd to do our part for a clean, green litter-free community. It is very much needed this year as the 2020 and 2021 clean-ups were cancelled due to the pandemic.
