Chisholm Public School Demolition Date Set

The Town’s Facilities and Construction Management department has advised that the demolition of the Chisholm Public School building is scheduled to take place from:

July 27 – August 31, 2015.


Planning and Development Council Meeting

A recommendation report will be considered by Planning and Development Council on July 6, 2015. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the Council Chamber at Town Hall. Please refer to the attached report (pdf) for details, and share it with friends and neighbours who may also be interested.

Monday, May 11, 2015 at 7 p.m., at Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Road, in the Council Chamber.


Notice of Public Meeting about the town-initiated applications for official plan amendment, zoning by-law amendment and draft plan of subdivision affecting the lands at 165 Charnwood Drive , former Chisholm Public School.

The purpose of the public meeting is for Council to receive comments from the public about the applications. No decision will be made.

This afternoon a sign will be posted on the front wall of the school building and notices will be hand delivered to homes within 120 m of the property. Please spread the word among your membership.

I’ve attached the notice to this message, as well as the proposed subdivision plan and a “neighbour letter” from me. Page two of the neighbour letter shows how the proposed subdivision is consistent with the Council-endorsed land use option.

The public information meeting will be held on:

Tuesday, March 3 at 7 p.m. at St Cuthbert’s Anglican Church (1541 Oakhill Dr. @ Maple Grove Dr.). A public meeting at Council (at Town Hall) will be scheduled at a later date.

I encourage anybody with an interest in these applications, particularly the immediate neighbours, to provide me with their email address so that I can email any future notifications directly to them.
