Downtown will come alive:  farmers’ market and cultural events supported by Union Gas

 

Downtown Oakville will come alive with cultural events and activities every Saturday from June to October thanks to Oakville’s Summer Cultural Connection, a new summer events initiative launched by the Town of Oakville and supported by a generous $40,000 donation from Union Gas.

 

The Summer Cultural Connection will include:

– a farmers’ market and creative cultural programming featuring town partners and local organizations at Centennial Square and on Navy Street every Saturday from June 6 to October 31 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

– weekend recreational events at Lakeside Park

– a series of exciting pop-up events related to monthly themes of recreation, sport, culture, and heritage.

Whether you’re finishing your Christmas shopping, preparing your home and self for the holidays, picking up a treat for a host, or out dining and celebrating the season, you can enjoy crossing off your holiday ‘to-do list’ in Downtown Oakville, with wagon rides with Santa throughout the Downtown (pick up in Towne Square) and the melodic sounds of carollers!

Jcra ACMWard 3 – All Candidates Meeting

at Oakville Trafalgar High School

Wednesday October 8th, 2014.

Meeting start: 7:00pm – Doors open at 6:15pm.

Hosted by the JCRA and other Ward 3 residence associations. All mayoral candidates and all Ward 3 candidates will be in attendance.

This is a fantastic opportunity to hear from each candidate and understand their positions on the many challenges that affect us as residence of Ward 3. We look forward to seeing you there.

 

 


Free ‘MoFB_Movies_2vies in the Square’ – Downtown Oakville!

Friday Evenings – September 12 through to October 3, 2014

The Downtown BIA is excited to be introducing free ‘Movies in the Square’ for the first time downtown and wish to invite all residents to come join in the fun!

Every Friday at 8:00pm from Sept 12 through to Oct 3 the BIA will be showing a movie outdoors in Towne Square, FREE for everyone to enjoy.
